| Patchouli Knowledge - occasionally going by the name of Patchy or Sumire-chan - is a relatively young human girl. She is a staggeringly powerful magician and is incredibly smart, but she is also very fragile. Worse yet, she is rather asthmatic and a bit of a shut-in. Maybe if she got some air once in a while... Of late, she has been recovering after her return from Gensokyo to Earth. She continues to believe her sealing was uncalled-for. Her voice is very soft and sometimes considered to be quite beautiful, but one hardly ever hears it for very long, because she tends to run short of breath or break into coughing fits. However, they have become so routine over the years that they barely affect her at all, and once they end she seems to be more or less perfectly alright. She looks a good deal younger than she is, though she's still fairly young. Her awe-inspiring spells are rarely ever cast, because her incantations are often interrupted by a cough. She is rather absurdly sedate though quite enjoys experimentation. She speaks quite formally and floridly. Since her return she has become able to speak and breathe more properly again, but retains her magical powers. Also restored are the emotions she had forsaken, causing her to desire closeness. |
